SUMMARY:VALOR project - International mid-term conference
DESCRIPTION:We are happy to announce that our partner the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki\, which will operate its own Citizen Science Hub as a pilot university in Greece\, will present INCENTIVE in the upcoming International Mid-Term Conference\, organised by the VALOR project. In particular\, Mr. Ioannis Tavantzis\, from the School of Spatial Planning and Development\, will have the opportunity to discuss the word that our team has been performing under INCENTIVE during the past months\, in a session dedicated to EU-funded projects and initiatives. \nRegistration form here. Deadline for registration: 09/02/2022 \nTo join the event virtually\, click here. \nAbout the Conference\nThe Conference’s topic will be “Strategic planning for socio-educational and professional development: learning modules\, training courses and research experiences & initiatives for a sustainable future”\, and will be hosted by Olympus National Park Management Agency (ONPMA)\, Litochoro\, Pieria\, Greece. \nThe Conference will be divided into three sections \n\nWelcoming introduction (11:00 CET)\nEU experiences and ongoing initiates (11:05 – 12:00 CET)\nCurricula & the learning modules within VALOR PROJECT (12:15 – 13:00 CET)\n\nThe Conference will be moderated by professor Antonios Mazaris. \nAbout VALOR project\nVALOR – “Valorisation of ancient farming techniques in resilient and sustainable agriculture” is an Erasmus+ programme funded by the EU\, whose aim is to promote cooperation between higher education and research partners\, enterprises\, and parks’ authorities\, including the farmers in the parks’ territories as associated partners\, thus enabling the creation of the highly specialised curricula. \nThe project promotes the recovery\, conservation\, and enhancement of the ancient local cultivation conditions\, through innovative educational curricula that support trainers and farmers to increase their abilities to preserve and safeguarded ancient production techniques and valorize and promote local traditional identities and economies. \nTo learn more about the project\, visit its website. \n
