SUMMARY:Citizen Science Conference 2022
DESCRIPTION:Societal impact is increasingly central to scientific research. How does new knowledge contribute to solving major issues in society? And how can we gain knowledge that is actually beneficial for society? Scientists are motivated to put their knowledge into practice\, which requires a deeper understanding of that same society. Cooperation is essential. \nCitizen science strives for a deepened cooperation between scientists and stakeholders from society\, in order to achieve that better understanding of societal challenges and the development of solutions that may be implemented in a sustainable way. \nOn Thursday 12 May 2022\, the University of Twente is organising a symposium on citizen science. The morning session is for UT staff and students only\, to exchange experiences\, lessons learned\, knowledge\, and expertise from UT citizen science initiatives. The afternoon session is open for everyone. Keynotes and discussions will be held on a variety of themes related to citizen science. \nCall for abstracts\n\n\nEmployees and students of the University of Twente may contribute to the morning session. \n\n\nThis event will be held in English and is powered by INCENTIVE.
