What is the Pub Quiz?

Österreich forscht and the CoAct project invite you to the Citizen Science Online Pub Quiz. Once again, participants will be guessing with lots of science and fun. Adhering to the strictest COVID-19 restrictions, the quiz will be held purely online. After the great success of the first two online editions of the popular pub quiz, the organisers are very pleased to invite you to a new edition together with the colleagues from CoAct project.

As such, on 27.01.2022 from 19:30-21:30 CET, the community is coming together to quiz again via Zoom; and once again there will be a great prize for the winning team. So, don’t miss it!

Do you know your way around the world of science? Do you love quizzing together with your friends? Then “Pub forscht” is the right place for you! Österreich forscht, Austria’s first and largest platform for citizen science, is dedicating this evening entirely to the topics of science and citizen science.
As in previous years, “Pub forscht” will be held in both German and English.

The deadline for registering is at 12:00 on the 25th of January 2022.

About CoAct project

CoAct is a Citizen Social Science project funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 872441. The project’s goal is to develop and test new ways for citizens and communities to participate in social science projects. The purpose of this is to enable citizens to take part in decision-making processes around issues that concern them, and simultaneously make better and stronger theories and methods with the help of this expertise.

CoAct puts forwards a new approach to face social global concerns related to mental health care, youth employment, environmental justice, and gender equality by engaging citizens as co-researchers, under Citizen Science. In particular, the project delves into the underexplored field of Citizen Social Science (CSS), understood here as participatory research co-designed and directly driven by citizen groups sharing a social concern.
