About the VGTU CSH presentation – pre-Conference event

The Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, one of the four pilot universities of the INCENTIVE project, is proudly launching its first Citizen Science Hub ever tomorrow, in a pre-Conference event, as part of the International Conference VISUALITY 2023: MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION IN THE AGE OF (DIS)INFORMATION.

The presentation will take place at VILNIUS TECH, The Faculty of Creative Industries, Room V-203. More information about the programme can be found here.

At 15:00, a welcome speech from the Vice-Rector of Studies dr. Živilė Sederevičiūtė-Pačiauskienė, Dean dr. Vaida Asakavičiūtė, and Head of Citizen Science Hub dr. Monika Mačiulienė, will signal the launching of VILNIUS TECH Citizen Science Hub.

Moreover, from 15:10 to 15:45, a series of Citizen Science focused projects will be presented, including the INCENTIVE project.

The presentations will be followed by a World Cafe Seminar, a policy roundtable discussion, and a networking event.

About the Conference

The biennial international interdisciplinary scientific conference “Visuality” is organised by the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies (VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Creative Industries). The event attracts participants from various European and other countries. The conference deals with various aspects of visuality from communication and media, philosophical, sociological, cultural, psychological, political, educational, technological, arts, creative industries, etc. perspectives. Both Lithuanian and foreign peer-reviewed articles, based on the conference reports, will be published in international research journals  “Philosophy. Sociology” and “Creativity Studies”.
