We are happy to announce that a new H2020 SwafS (Science with and for Society) project started in February!
INCENTIVE was launched in a 2-day kick-off meeting held on 9-10 February 2021 virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic and facilitated by the DesignLab (Universiteit Twente – UT) and the project coordinator, Sabine Wildevuur. Through his creative and humorous perspective, Michiel van de Pol also joined the meeting, giving shape and form to our discussions through his cartoons.
Over the two-day meeting, partners had the chance to meet and get to know each other, as well as discuss about the project implementation. During the first day, a series of interactive activities took place, with partners resorting to game techniques for the conceptualization and ideation of CS Hubs, and the general understanding of the project’s objectives. Moreover, two inspirational talks by Margaret Gold (Citizen Science Lab Coordinator, Universiteit Leiden) and Renske van Wijk (TOPFIT/CitizenLab UT) were presented, while another session aimed to meet with the supporting partners of INCENTIVE was organized.
The second day started with an introductory session by Yiannis Vacondios, the Project Officer from the European Commission ad Linden Farrer, Policy Officer from the European Commission. Then, project partners presented their tasks and contributions under the overall work plan. We had the chance to mutually clarify points regarding their involvement in tasks, the timeline of the project, and the optimal channels of communication among them.
